A fire pit dropped onto a finished patio almost always sits wrong — too close to the house, too tight for chairs, or with no clean way to run gas. Designing them together solves all three at once.
A fire feature needs room around it that people can actually sit in — chairs pull back, traffic passes behind, and smoke needs somewhere to go. We lay out the radius and the surrounding surface together so the space works when it is full, not just when it is empty.
That planning is also what lets gas lines, conduit for lighting, and the fire feature’s own footing go in before the surface is set. Retrofitting any of those later means cutting into finished work.
Wood-burning fire pits give you the smell, the sound, and the ritual — and they ask for wood storage, cleanup, and a bit of patience. Gas features light instantly and get used far more often on a weeknight in April.
